Anime Conji welcomes all press from amateur to professional. If you are interested in applying for a Press Badge please read the following information.
Requirements
- Press members of the following media will be automatically approved: broadcast (television news and radio stations) and print (newspaper and magazine).
- Press members of the following media will be reviewed for approval: internet media (website, blog, webzine, streaming video, podcast, online radio).
- Please provide information of where and when convention coverage will be published. This can be e-mailed to info-head@animeconji.org at a later time.
- Broadcast television news or radio: date, time of broadcast, and channel.
- Print: publication date, time, and article name.
- Web: date, time of upload, post or broadcast, and article or channel name.

If approved, you will receive a confirmation within 3 business days. If you do not receive a confirmation within 3 business days, you were not eligible to receive press badges for this year’s Anime Conji, but you may re-apply next year.
Badge Pickup
All approved press must check-in at the Conji Media Zone Office located at the Devonshire at The Meeting House. Please bring the following in order to pick up your press badge:
- Picture ID
- Business card (optional)

Privileges
- Complimentary full weekend badge (number of badges vary depending on coverage and is up to the Anime Conji Press Department’s discretion)
- First in line and early entry for all main events.
- All Access to Press Lounge located at the Devonshire at The Meeting House. This is a space where press are encouraged to conduct interviews, write articles, and other press related business. Light refreshments will also be provided.
- A media liaison will be available for any questions and concerns
- A Press Packet will be provided with general Anime Conji information.
- Ability to request personal interviews with Guests of Honor (dependent on Guest’s discretion) More information TBA.
Press Policy
- The following is not permitted:
- Requesting autographs or sketches outside of convention autograph sessions
- Harassing any guests of the convention
- Violating the convention Code of Conduct
- Violating anything that is against city, state or federal law
- Lost Badges can be replaced with a $15 fee. If you have lost your badge, please report to Registration at the Pacific Ballroom Foyer.
- The maximum number of complimentary badges per press group is dependent on negotiations with the Anime Conji Press Department Head. To negotiate multiple press passes for your group, please contact info-head@animeconji.org after submitting through the press registration form.
- Any violation of the Press Policy may result in having your badge revoked.
- Press policy, methods, and information are subject to change without notice.
- We reserve the right to refuse press for any reason.
